When is CeBIT?

What is CeBIT? CeBIT is only the largest computer electronics expo in the world.

CeBIT stands for Centrum der Büro- und Informationstechnik; German for "Centre of Office and Information technology".

When is CeBit? It takes place in the springtime, this year's dates: March 4th - 9th, 2008

Next year's dates (2009): March 3rd - 8th,  2009
Last year's date: March 9th - 15th, 2007

Who's going to be there?  Who's not going to be there!?  CeBIT draws more than 6200 vendors from around the world.  It began as the technology portion of the Hannover fair, but eventually was given its own time slot because it became such a large part of the overall fair.

Nokia unveiled the very first GSM phone at CeBIT (that was back in 1987).

They now (since 1999) hold satellite conferences around the globe, the main show of course still steals all the thunder.
